ROCKFORD, Ill. - Rockford University senior forward Tony Diemer (Rockford, Ill.) was voted First Team All-Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference for the second straight season. Diemer becomes the first player in program history to ever be selected First Team All-NACC in back-to-back seasons. This is now the fourth consecutive season the Regents have had at least one first team all-conference selection.
Tony Diemer earned his third postseason honor from the NACC today. Diemer began his career by earning a spot on the NACC All-Freshman team before being voted First Team All-NACC in both his junior and senior seasons. The Rockford native once again concluded the season as one of the top players in the conference. Diemer finished fifth in scoring (17.8), third in made field goals (170), sixth in made free throws (90), ninth in free throw percentage (80.4%), tenth in rebounding (7.0) and fourteenth in three-point field goal percentage (40.7%). His efforts this year also helped the Regents secure their first berth in the NACC Tournament since the 2012-13 season.
Tony Diemer ends his career as one of the top men's basketball players in both program and NACC history. His 1,650 points currently places him fourth in school history and seventh in the history of the NACC. Diemer's 679 career rebounds is good for tenth most in both school and NACC history. He also ranks fifth in the NACC in both field goal attempts (1,428) and made field goals (659) and tenth in offensive rebounds (221). Additionally, Diemer is one of only three Rockford University men's basketball players to finish his career with at least 1,650 points and 650 rebounds.
