Rockford Drops Match Against Maranatha

LOVES PARK, Ill.- The Rockford University women's soccer team returned to action today to take on Maranatha Baptist University at Wedgbury Stadium. Rockford was looking to earn their fourth victory on the season. The team has been plagued by injuries this season and again were shorthanded today. Playing with one less played in the second half the Regents gave up three goal to fall by the final of 3-0. Rockford and Maranatha were locked in a tie at the half. Unfortunately, Rockford was unable to hold Maranatha there. Giovana Ortega (Rockford, Ill.) totaled two shots with both of them coming on goal. Gris Mendoza (Rockford, Ill.) posted 12 saves on 15 attempts to lead the team.

The Rockford University women's soccer team returns to action Sunday, October 30 to take on Monmouth College on Senior Day at Wedgbury Stadium at Sportscore Two with a scheduled start time of 2 p.m.
