LOVES PARK, Ill.- The Rockford University women's soccer team returned to action today to take on Illinois Tech at Wedgbury Stadium. The Regents have been dealing with multiple injuries and came into the game shorthanded. Also, Rockford was returning for their first home game in over two weeks. Rockford played well on defense to hold Illinois Tech to only two goals. Unfortunately, the Regents were unable to capture a victory falling by the final of 2-0.

Rockford held Illinois Tech scoreless until the final five minutes of the first half. The Regents did a great job on defense of holding the Scarlet Hawks to only two goals on 24 shot attempts. Gris Mendoza (Rockford, Ill.) was outstanding on the night as she recorded 12 saves on 14 attempts. She continually made great saves in the goal to keep the Regents in the game.
