ROCKFORD, Ill.- The Rockford University softball team returned to action Saturday to take on Aurora University. The Regents had their hands full with the first place Spartans in a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference matchup. Unfortunately, Rockford fell in both games by the final of 9-0 and 15-1.

The Regents were unable to muster any offense against a well-rounded pitching staff from the SPartans. Rockford totaled six hits on the day. Highlighting the Regents offensive day was Lisa Blakeley-Snyder (Winnebago, Ill.) who posted a hit and two walks on the day. Brooke Burris (Galatia, Ill.) also added one hit in her only at-bat of the day. Rockford will look to bounce back and earn their first NACC victories Sunday.

Rockford returns to action Sunday, April 9 to take on Benedictine University at the Smith Athletic Field with a scheduled start time of 12 p.m.
