ROCKFORD, Ill.- The Rockford University men's soccer team returned to action today to take on Benedictine University in a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference matchup. Rockford was trying to earn a victory in their final NACC home game. Unfortunately, the Regents fell by the final of 7-0. Rockford totaled five shots on the day and four corner kicks. The team was unable to capitalize on their attempts. Benedictine scored seven goals, five coming in the second half. Leading Rockford on the day was Jonathan Hernandez (Chicago, Ill.) with two shots. Freshman Everardo Martinez (Mundelein, Ill.) recorded nine saves in the contest.
The Rockford University men's soccer team returns to action in their final home game Saturday, October 22 to take on Maranatha Baptist University on Senior Day with a scheduled start time of 1 p.m. The match will be played in Wedgbury Stadium at SportsCore Two.
