ROCKFORD, Ill. - The Rockford University football program is excited to announce the release of its schedule for the upcoming 2018 season. Overall the schedule appears to be favorable for the Regents with six of their ten games coming at home, including three straight to kickoff the season. Rockford will begin its 2018 campaign at Sam Greeley Field on Saturday, September 1 against MacMurray College. The Regents will then conclude the non-conference portion of their schedule over the next two weeks against Martin Luther College and Kalamazoo College.
Following its bye week, Rockford opens Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference play on September 29 at Wisconsin Lutheran College. The Regents will then alternate home and away games for the rest of the season, with Rockford's three remaining home contests coming against Benedictine, Aurora and Concordia Wisconsin. The football team then concludes the year at Eureka College on Saturday, November 10.
"We are excited for the 2018 season," Head Football Coach Jim Schroeder stated. "We had a great offseason both in the weight room and in the classroom and can't wait for preseason camp to begin."
