ROCKFORD, Ill. - The postseason awards continue to roll in for senior shortstop Cole Logemann (Lena, Ill.) as early this morning he was named Third Team All-Midwest Region by D3baseball.com. This marks the second time in his collegiate career that Logemann has achieved all-region status, with the other coming his freshman season when he was also named Third Team All-Midwest Region. Additionally, Logemann becomes the first Regent ever to be named all-region by D3baseball.com in multiple years.
Cole Logemann finished his collegiate career as one of the more decorated players in recent history. During his time in a Regent uniform, Logemann was named First Team All-NACC twice, Second Team All-NACC once, Third Team All-Midwest Region twice and was voted the NACC Freshman of the Year for the 2013 season. This season Logemann was equally as impressive finishing in the top twelve in the NACC in seven categories, including five in the top ten. At the end of the regular season Logemann was fifth in batting average (.407), sixth in slugging percentage (.614), sixth in hits (56), seventh in on-base percentage, tied for second in triples (3), tied for eleventh in home runs (4) and tied for twelfth in doubles (12). Additionally, Logemann is now the RU career leader with 51 doubles.
