ROCKFORD, Ill. - The Rockford University athletic department is excited to announce the following internship opportunities for the 2018 spring semester. If you are interested in applying, please email Cory Espensen (email@example.com) AND Brian Vanden Acker (firstname.lastname@example.org) no later than Friday, November 17, 2017. In the email, include your ranking preference of the internships or the internship that you would like to apply for. Interviews will be scheduled before the end of November and all communication will be delivered via RU email. Please work with your professor and/or advisor to make sure that you are eligible for an internship before you apply.
Home Events/Game Management (1)
Interns will attend weekly home events meeting. They will assist with set-up, game management tasks such as: greeting and chaperoning opponents and officials, assistant supervisor for home events staff, troubleshooting issues, and other duties as assigned. Interns will gain valuable experience in the planning and execution of all aspects of game management. Experiences will allow interns the opportunity to develop and implement leadership and logistics skills.
Digital Media (1-2)
Interns will help develop and enhance digital media marketing presence by producing videos and multimedia content for the athletic website and social media platforms. Duties could include: produce, shoot, and edit video content to be shared across RU's media platforms. Examples could include: features, post-game interviews, game highlight packages, infographics and social media graphics. Experiences will allow interns to create tangible projects and results that could be included in a marketing production portfolio.
